A Profiler Assisting the Yaos at the Bureau with Cases

A string of murders strikes Jiangcheng, and criminal profiler Shi Yinong is invited to help solve the case.

As she investigates, she realizes something is off:

Why is the Jiangcheng precinct located on the second basement floor of a pet hospital?

Whenever she returns to the precinct, there's always a black cat quietly perched at the front desk.

The policewoman on her team is timid, yet insists on visiting crime scenes at night. She doesn't even have a shadow!

The amiable director can appear in several places at once, and seems to be a chosen one of the 996 work schedule.

Shi Yinong: Am I seeing ghosts?

The director: No, no! Welcome to the Bureau of Demon Management!

Ghost Policewoman: Well, I do see them every day.

The Criminal Investigation Department has a simple lineup: Sister Hu from Qingqiu, Brother Lu from the Taihang Mountains, and a local ghost policewoman from Jiangcheng. Each has their own special skills, and they're all good at solving cases.

The only one missing is the legendary department head with ridiculously high combat strength.

Until one day, Shi Yinong overhears colleagues from another department chatting:

"Have you heard? The new profiler in Criminal Investigation is a real badass! Every day, she rubs their department head's face at the front desk!"

"Oh my god, that's the last ferocious beast from ancient times!"

Shi Yinong: ?!

Why did nobody tell her?

Ghost Policewoman: Technically, it's not a cat.
