Jiang Zhan was a supporting character and military academy student in an interstellar power fantasy. Because he was always so sleepy he could barely keep his eyes open, he missed the team registration deadline and was assigned by the school's System to a second-year troublemaker squad that was cannon fodder from the start of the original story.
On the first day he joined the squad,
the commander gave them their first and only order: fight on your own.
The mecha pilot was fighting his own teammates,
the maintenance specialist went off to challenge someone one-on-one and couldn't be found,
the medic had quit a few days earlier, unable to take it anymore.
After the marksman blasted Jiang Zhan, his own teammate, into the air with a cannon, Jiang Zhan opened his dead-fish eyes. He took a single mecha, cut down hundreds of competitors, charged across the finish line, and claimed the champion's flag. Then he submitted his request to leave the team.
Later,
Mecha pilot: Dad, don't go!
Commander: Dad, you call the shots!
Marksman: Dad, am I kneeling properly?
Maintenance specialist: Dad, if I run off again, I'll break my own legs!
Later still,
From the strange planet of eternal night to the deadly world teeming with alien beasts, Jiang Zhan led his four teammates across the vast sea of stars, reopening countless planets sealed by natural disasters. The former troublemaker squad became the Empire's sharpest sword. In an official interview, each of them shared the secret to their success:
Mecha pilot: Call him Dad with enthusiasm.
Commander: Keep Dad's words in mind.
Marksman: Practice your kneeling stance often.
Maintenance specialist: The secret is to suck up!
Jiang Zhan: I'm so sleepy. I'm going to bed.
Reading guide:
1. Everyone has a one-sided crush on the main character in the main story. The couples are in the extras.
2. A brainless power fantasy. Don't expect the author to be smart.
