[On hiatus while I work things out. I'm temporarily out of inspiration and can't get the story straight. Never again will I run without a buffer of chapters, TvT]
Xi Zhe is a fishing fanatic. Or so he calls himself.
When he was very young, he was captivated by the scene in "An Old Man in a Straw Cloak, Fishing Alone in the Snow on a Cold River." He desperately wanted to experience the feeling of casting a line and quietly waiting for a catch.
Unfortunately, by the time he was eight, chaos had begun to spread. Disasters were breaking out all over the world, clean water was scarce, and the areas around bodies of water were especially dangerous. Forget fishing: he had never even seen a fishing rod. Luckily, technology hadn't collapsed, so he could still watch videos left behind by people from the past to satisfy his craving.
Then, in the year Xi Zhe turned eighteen, a fantastical "holographic" game appeared out of nowhere.
Aha!
Starting today, I'm becoming a fishing legend!
Xi Zhe fishes as he travels, and the things he catches aren't just fish. He reels in all sorts of strange things, from weapons to city-building tokens, treasure chests to secret realms, little monsters to bosses... There's nothing he can't catch!
Xi Zhe proudly plants his hands on his hips. A magnificent tail gleaming like a gemstone winds gracefully around him.
Heh heh, he caught this one too!
Proudly (cross that out) arrogantly planting his hands on his hips!

#The power of never coming home empty-handed#
A fishing legend who can catch anything, the shou × a merman he reels in, the gong
Tough, sweet, little ray of sunshine × carefree, clingy flirt
P.S. This is a long novel. I can't promise daily updates for now. Sometimes I get stuck and nearly lose my soul, but I promise to give it a proper ending.
Reading Guide
1. The word "fishing" in the title means actual, physical fishing.
2. The game has a large-scale fantasy setting, a blend of East and West with a leaning toward the East. Expect to see fantasy races such as Eastern merfolk and Western elves!
3. It's a holographic game with a thin veneer: the real world and the game run in parallel, though the game may get a little more focus.
4. The author is prone to typos. Most edits are just fixing mistakes or adjusting word order, so you don't need to reread. I'll note any major plot revisions.
5. Updates before the novel goes premium will be irregular.
My next novel is "When the Peacock Fans Its Tail." Please add it to your reading list!
Here's the original blurb:
Kong Xuanling is 221 years old and has just left his juvenile stage. He's a very young black peacock who cares a great deal about appearances and saving face.
As a male peacock, he's beautiful and knows it. He acts flamboyantly and gets away with anything on account of his looks.
But as a young demon who has only just come of age, his demonic power is unstable. Every so often, a little soft fluff sprouts, and his crest and tail feathers keep popping out to catch some air.
So, from his perspective, his first meeting with that person was not a good one.
In the backyard of the Special Affairs Bureau, Kong Xuanling stared at the person standing in the distance, stunned. Was this a real-life version of a cool, aloof immortal lord?
He was way, way too good-looking!
Damn it, he was even better-looking than Kong Xuanling.
After staring blankly, his first reaction was to suppress the urge to fan his tail.
Actually, the first time I saw you, I wanted to fan my tail at you.
For a peacock, fanning its tail is both a challenge and a declaration of love.
Young, inexperienced peacock demon × an ancient monster with the air of a cool, aloof immortal lord
Theme: Courageously forging ahead is the blade that opens up the path of life.

The content of the public beta chapter suddenly became mediocre, and there was no motivation to read it. Comparing the two chapters seemed like two articles. . .
Why is it repeated later???
It's still locked. Come on, the article is very interesting
OK, OK, congratulations on opening the article
"This study" is a big bug for the author~
