My Imperial Consorts Are Debuting as a Group

"Teacher Yuan Jiwei, could you comment on this group's performance?"

When the host called on me, I picked up the microphone, then put it down. In the end, under the gaze of everyone on and off the stage, I picked it up again and commented on each contestant, from left to right.

"The dancer did great." This dance specialist was the Great General's daughter, my Imperial Noble Consort.

"The vocalist did great." This lead vocalist was the Minister of Rites' daughter, my Noble Consort.

"The rap was excellent." This rapper was a beauty sent from a foreign kingdom, recently admitted into my harem.

"The visual is beautiful." This beauty was the daughter of a merchant wealthy enough to rival a kingdom, one of my consorts.

"As for the leader... well..." As for Zhu Yuemian, the group's leader, she was a relative on my mother's side. Given our ages, I should call her older sister, and she was also my Empress. Honestly, even though I'm the Emperor, I'm inexplicably a little afraid of her. There's something strange about the way she looks at me. Could she have figured out long ago that I'm a woman?

That's right. I, Yuan Jiwei, ruler of the kingdom, am a genuine girl.

I was the daughter of a wealthy family, but in a single day I transmigrated back to ancient times and became the dynasty's only princess. No, I mean its only prince. Something went wrong when I was born, so I had to disguise myself as a boy, and eventually I somehow inherited the throne. I thought I'd have to live that way for the rest of my life, but then, during a boat ride on the lake, I accidentally transmigrated back to the present.

But can someone explain why the consorts from my harem transmigrated back with me, and why they're all teaming up to compete on a talent show?!
