At the critical moment, a gigantic scythe burst out of the darkness, slicing through the ghostly hands that held Yi Dang in just a few swings.

He fell to the ground, still gasping for breath, and was locked in the embrace of a pair of burning arms.

A familiar, trembling voice came from beside his ear. "You're not dead. You're really not dead. You're back."

Yi Dang: I'm screwed.

A sharp pain in the back of his neck, and he was choked unconscious.

When he woke again, Yi Dang was already at Bureau 719, also known as the A Country Paranormal Investigation Bureau.

After being coaxed and deceived, Yi Dang became an intern at Bureau 719, partnered with Yan Qi.

He stepped into this mysterious world, where he encountered sewn-together corpses, sorrowful souls, yin magic and curses...

The missions became a chain of events.

As if everything had been arranged, the mysteries surrounding Yi Dang came to light one by one: his status as an orphan, his ability to see spirits, and more.

Yan Qi thought he was incredibly unlucky. He'd fallen asleep and woken up to find his wife gone.

He had watched him die right in front of his eyes.

He'd gone mad searching the entire underworld, but couldn't find even a trace of his soul.
