Chun Xiaochi suddenly transmigrated into a book. She was determined to get close to the protagonists and warn them of the danger ahead so she could return to her original world. But things didn't go as she hoped, and she drifted farther and farther away from them.
After her family fell on hard times, Chun Xiaochi left Fengshi Island City for a small town in Yunzhou.
There, she met Jiang Bai, a clever, lively town girl whose thought process was, unfortunately, a little unusual.
And despite having already graduated from university, she was forced to sit among a group of rowdy high schoolers again.
The new transfer student is Jiang Bai's "little sister." The whole world wants her to be friends with the girl, but she's aloof and cold, and the scorn in her eyes often frightens Jiang Bai away. Gathering her courage, Jiang Bai gradually draws closer to her, and before she knows it, she has crossed the line between friendship and love.
Just as Chun Xiaochi finally manages to get close to the protagonists, the world turns upside down once more. She gets her wish and returns to her own world, as if it had all been a dream. The tear at the corner of her eye disappears into her hair, while the longing she felt after losing someone fills her heart.
Just when she thinks she'll never see Jiang Bai again, a familiar face appears before her. The boyish innocence is gone. The only explanation is that time has leaped forward; otherwise, how could she meet Jiang Bai years later?
That's right, Chun Xiaochi transmigrated into the book Longing for a Reunion That Never Came, the previous novel. Her character is the impoverished junior who confesses to Lu Weikuan in Chapter Nine, but her story has little to do with the original book.
--, --, --
Chun Xiaochi: "There's no way I could like you!"
Jiang Bai: "Why not?"
Chun Xiaochi: "You're a block person!"
Jiang Bai: "You'll definitely fall for me!"
Chun Xiaochi: "Why?"
Jiang Bai: "That's why you came to this block world."
P.S.:
1. The first half is small-town fiction.
2. The second half is campus fiction.
3. A slow burn, from friendship to love.
4. A pseudo age gap.
5. The overall tone is cheerful, with some angst and a twist later on.
