A Misty Autumn Night

A second chance for an old flame

Su Yue's small inn is hit by a harsh winter, and just as she is at her wit's end, a guest arrives one morning.

A charcoal-gray Armani suit paired with a classic fitted shirt. Handsome and tall, with a pert backside and long legs. A trace of woodland mist still clings to his black hair. Su Yue's eyes light up at once.

She pulls out all the stops, swearing she'll win the guest over. Er, no, get him to stay.

At first, she just wanted to make a little money.

Later, when the chips in her hand kept dwindling and even her ownership of the inn was at risk, Su Yue panicked and could only hint at it tactfully.

"Sir, could we maybe play a different game?"

Later still, after being late for the Nth time, Su Yue draws the curtains with a satisfied look and gazes at the mist in the distance, thinking how delicious a free dinner is.

A cool, clear voice suddenly rings out behind her, shattering her fantasy:

"Had enough fun? If you have, come home with me."
