After Huruhiro Morofushi died, he became a ghost and took over the body of a strange girl.

The girl, Chiyu Hayami, claimed to be cursed and had developed auditory, visual, and tactile hallucinations. She welcomed Huruhiro using her body, because from her own perspective, the entire world was made up of tumors, bloodstains, and faceless people.

One side effect of the curse was immortality. When Huruhiro realized this, the girl pulled the killer's knife from her chest and gave him a reassuring smile.

Huruhiro watched her die again and again, but she never got the kind of death she wanted most.

Her body was immortal, but her soul could no longer bear it. Chiyu Hayami told him:

The heroine is intellectually brilliant. When it comes to thinking, this is an unabashed power fantasy, but she isn't physically strong and won't be taking down armies through sheer brawn.

The male lead does not come back to life. He only appears inside the heroine's body, which he takes great care of. You could call it an unconventional selfcest story.

Their hallucinated sense of touch lets the two interact physically, and there is a soul-merging element.
