Keep It Up and I’ll Kiss You

(The cure for every kind of defiance x The cure for every kind of cocky arrogance)

Xue Heli is one of the few female co-drivers on the WRC circuit. She looks delicate and sweet, like someone who'd be easy to bully.

Her first racing partner is Yuan Che, the most troublesome driver in the entire competition.

Everyone on the WRC circuit knows the five-time champion Yuan Che is a famously tough, no-nonsense man.

On high-speed, gravel-spraying tracks, he dares to go wheel-to-wheel with his rivals, and he's got a mouth that can't say anything decent.

No one can handle him, and no one dares try.

Yet in the new season, he gets paired with a female co-driver like Xue Heli, whose voice is so sweet it sounds like she's pouting.

Yuan Che: "I don't need a co-driver."

Other rally drivers and their co-drivers work together in perfect sync, but Xue Heli and Yuan Che can't stand each other.

Even though they finish near the top every race, people still make fun of them.

"Even if their car went off a cliff, they'd argue before they hit the ground."

"The racing god is really letting a woman tell him where to go?"

--

During one race, Yuan Che got caught up in the heat of the competition and drove faster and faster, pushing himself to the limit.

Co-driver Xue Heli cooed, "Brother Yuan Che, don't get carried away. Left one, then right three uphill, right one hairpin, thirty. Watch the apex~"

The racing god's hand twitched, and for the first time, he made a slight mistake on a turn.

"Watch your damn mouth."

Xue Heli copied his crude language. "You. Damn. Well. Drive."

Yuan Che: This is so damn sweet it could kill me.

--

Later, Yuan Che and Xue Heli won the world championship.

Everyone thought they would go their separate ways after the season ended, but the next year they were back together, racing across mountains and valleys.

Racing god Yuan Che still drove like a madman. He kept wanting to swear at other drivers, but forced himself to swallow his words.

The camera cut to the inside of the car.

Xue Nanhe read out the turns according to their speed, her voice sweet and clear. "Brother Yuan Che, drive steady and don't swear, okay? You can't outswear me, after all."

The audience was stunned. "What's going on? Has Yuan Che finally been cured of his habit of mouthing off and charging headlong into everything?"

Yuan Che himself: ...Can't be helped. If I swear at her, I'll have to go home and write lines on my knees.
