Hands Off My Cat Ears!

[Synopsis screenshot taken on February 6] [The synopsis may change, but the story won't] The apocalypse arrives. Plants and animals mutate, and humans can barely fend for themselves as they scatter in every direction. No one has time for their weak, burdensome pets.

After a month without food or water, the once-beloved little orange cat has become skin and bones. He stares desperately at the door that will never open again and dies a miserable death in the rented apartment.

But the next day, he opens his eyes again. The mutations have given him a second life.

He has gained awareness, his body has become more agile, and he can see pollution particles floating in the air. He knows where danger lurks and what can be eaten.

Relying on this ability, the little orange cat gathers up the last of his canned food, slings a little bundle over his back, and jumps out the window, becoming a stray cat wandering from place to place.

All along the way, he insists to the other mutated pets that his owner never abandoned him. He's always been a stray cat!

But when he hears the other mutated pets talk about going to the human base to find their owners, Gu Xiaobao silently joins them.

"What can we do?" the pets say. "Even though she doesn't want me anymore, I love her so much that I still want to protect her."

No one could have imagined that when the apocalypse came, humanity's first allies would be the pets they had once abandoned.

How to comfort a kitten who was once abandoned:

1. Plenty of canned cat food, dried fish, and gentle pets

2. Tell him "I love you" a hundred times every day

3. Get down on one knee, propose to him, and promise never to leave him

Theme: Cherish everything you have now.
