As the Akademiya's best graduate and Gandharva Ville's finest Forest Ranger, Tighnari loved living things every bit as much as he loved his husband.

One day, the Dendro Archon came to him. "The ecosystems in the parallel worlds surrounding Teyvat are out of balance, and the situation is endangering Irminsul. Please go save the world."

Since the Dendro Archon had put it that way, Tighnari set off at once.

When he arrived in an apocalyptic world, the sky was filled with black smoke, and not a blade of grass grew in the barren earth. Tighnari declined the base's invitation and began taking soil samples and examining every patch of land.

Six months later, the survivors, having run out of food, were forced to go hunting. But when they ventured outside, they found lush green grass, rabbits lounging peacefully, and gentle little deer.

Everyone was stunned. "This is even better than the base!"

When he arrived in a world of cultivation, people treated plants and animals as tools, killing them without a second thought. Tighnari fired a Dendro arrow, and the plants immediately burst back to life.

The cultivators who had come down the mountain to gain experience were left in shock:

"How come I can't even beat a tiger cub now?"

"The spirit plants have gained sentience, too!"

But Tighnari noticed one thing: whenever he went out to investigate, he could feel a gaze following him closely.

The enemies who disappeared, the mighty ferocious beasts...

The little zombies he'd taken in told him, "Your friend is really interesting, but don't tell us any more jokes next time. He's not funny at all."

Tighnari smiled faintly.

Ei, who had been staying in the Plane of Euthymia, came running over, a fox cub perched on her shoulder and a little Kujou in her hand.

"Traveler, this is serious!"

Nahida, arriving a little later, looked delighted. The first thing she said was, "The Wanderer suddenly became so much more well-behaved today!"

After learning that the whole thing had probably started with something the Traveler said, the three Archons who wanted to slack off tried to pass the mess on to the Traveler.

But the Traveler said, "You could cut me into a hundred and eight pieces and I still wouldn't be enough to look after all these people!"

So the four Archons, who were unaffected because they were gods, had no choice but to take on the responsibility of caring for the children.
