Wen Qing transmigrates into the body of a lowly maid in a marquis's household.
The original owner caught the eye of the household's third young master, who wanted to take her as a bedchamber maid. The Third Madam didn't want this "seductress" distracting her son from his studies, so she assigned the maid a role in her scheme to frame the First Madam, intending to get rid of her along with the First Madam.
Unexpectedly, a Beauty System drops into Wen Qing's lap at just the right moment. She rolls up her sleeves and takes matters into her own hands, escaping with her life and even restoring the First Madam's dignity along the way.
The frail First Madam promotes her to be her personal maid, then sighs, "What a pity. It's so quiet here, and there's nothing impressive about it."
But Wen Qing's arrival brings the First Madam dignity, liveliness, and beauty, and makes it easy to give her detractors a well-deserved slap in the face.
The First Madam's only son, however, remains a source of worry. He's dull and withdrawn, doesn't study or report for work, and spends his days loitering in taverns and gambling dens.
If he can't make a career for himself, he can at least start a family.
But the young heir is so hopelessly confused that he can't even recognize people. He meets Miss Zhang in the morning, then follows Miss Qian home that afternoon.
Wen Qing has a realization:
Could it be that this young master isn't a handsome fool at all, but simply suffers from face blindness?!
Face blindness isn't scary. The most important thing is scientific treatment and prevention.
