After the Young Husband Bound Himself to a Blind Box System

Yu Yuan transmigrated into the body of a poor country bumpkin, a ge'er who could bear children.

Fortunately, he was bound to a mystery box System. Once he had accumulated enough merit points, he could draw a box online.

After saving up painstakingly for a year, Yu Yuan finally drew his first item.

"Marriage contract between Yu Yuan and Lu Yiguang."

What kind of useless junk was this? Who the heck was Lu Yiguang?

A worthless piece of paper, no use at all. Give him a blast furnace, a gold mine, or a Jenny spinning machine!

Yu Yuan was so furious he went mad, then promptly forgot about the marriage contract.

To his surprise, a month later, a heroic-looking man rode up on a fine steed, claiming to be Lu Yiguang, the son-in-law Yu Yuan had been promised to since childhood.

Yu Yuan's eyes lit up as he admired his muscles. Great, great! A live-in son-in-law, huh? Free labor that won't cost a thing. I'll take him. He can work as a hired hand for a year first, just to prove himself!

The Marquis of Weiyuan, Lu Yiguang, returned victorious, only for his family to suddenly tell him that he had an arranged marriage.

His mother wept and pleaded: I don't care, you have to bring poor Yuan'er home.

His father wailed: If Yuan'er doesn't become my daughter-in-law, you're no son of mine!

Even the emperor personally advised him:

Yu Yuan has been waiting for you for eighteen years. How can you bear to treat him this way?

Lu Yiguang asked in return: You all keep saying Yu Yuan is my husband, but who exactly is he?

Everyone was dumbfounded. The court officials all stammered.

Lu Yiguang began to question his sanity.

Where had this Yu Yuan come from? Why did everyone but him insist that Yu Yuan was his wife?

Lu Yiguang decided to hide his identity and meet him in person.

After searching for two months, he finally found the real Yu Yuan in a remote mountain village.

The little country bumpkin was dressed shabbily, but there was something about his looks that made Lu Yiguang's heart itch.

-

First month as a hired hand.

Lu Yiguang: I'm exhausted. What gives this little country bumpkin the right to order a general around?

Second month as a hired hand.

Lu Yiguang: Yuan'er, give me a kiss and I can plow another ten miles!
