My upcoming novel: Transmigrating to Another World to Become an Army Wife (1980s). The blurb is below. Please add it to your favorites!
Synopsis:
Wan Haichao kept having the same dream for a while.
In the dream, she wore a flowing outfit, with long water sleeves trailing from both arms. She floated above the mangrove canopy, dancing gracefully as mist shrouded the air around her.
The vast stretch of mangroves was like a green blanket, or a long stage. The tide rose only halfway up the trees, leaving their upper halves above water to support her.
The world was wide open, with only three colors. The blue sky stretched far above her, the green mangroves lay beneath her feet, and white water flowed gently around the greenery.
She felt light all over and was in a wonderful mood, as if she could fly. She was like a heroine from a wuxia novel with peerless qinggong, free to roam the whole sea as she pleased.
Then the scene began to change. She was still out at sea, and the mangroves were still there. But now a two-story wooden house stood above them. She lay inside, able to touch the water if she reached out.
She had no idea what she was lying on, only that it felt so comfortable and relaxing, like resting in a cradle.
Suddenly, a voice whispered in her ear, "Time to go back."
Then she saw a huge fish leap up from the sea...
When she woke, she discovered she had been reborn.
She had no idea which god had tossed her back here, and now she couldn't even find anyone to complain to.
She had no regrets about her old life, and had never once wondered what she would do if she were reborn.
She had elders above her and no children below. She owned a house and a car, and had a little money saved. She also had fields and land. If she wanted vegetables, she could grow vegetables; if she wanted melons, she could plant melons.
And if she didn't feel like doing either, she could scatter some flower seeds. Her home faced the sea, the climate was warm, and flowers bloomed all year round.
She had been born by the sea. What made the sea here different from elsewhere?
For one thing, there were no white-sand beaches, though sometimes the waves were a vivid blue-green.
There was also a long seawall, like a dragon swimming away into the distance.
Below the seawall stretched the same endless greenery: the forest of the sea, the mangroves.
For a child who had grown up scrambling around in the mangroves, this place was a paradise for saving money...
Razor clams, sandworms, oysters, mudskippers, eels, clams...
You'd better fatten yourselves up. I'll come for you one by one...
Standing on the shore, Wan Haichao thought silently: I don't know which god tossed me back here. If you want to find someone, go find them.
Maybe it was the butterfly effect caused by this little butterfly that brought so many people into her life whom she had never met before...
The first time Wan Haichao met Wen Baicong was on the first day of school. He hit it off with a dog he'd just met like they were brothers, then even told the dog to come say hello to her.
Oh my god! Run! Does he not know she's terrified of dogs?
Seeing how close Wen Baicong was to the dog, Wan Haichao blurted out in a panic, "Birds of a feather flock together!"
And so Wen Baicong acquired a nickname he could never shake: Birds of a Feather.
Later, once they knew each other better, Wen Baicong said, "I think you're a lot like my little sister. I just wanted to ask if you'd be my little sister."
Wan Haichao: ...I think you're getting back at me.
Wan Xiaoshan was an aquaculture farmer who rented a shrimp pond not far from Wan Haichao's home. His family often spent time with hers. In her previous life, his aquaculture business had been very successful, but in the end someone stole the fruits of his labor, and he didn't dare stay around anymore.
In this life, he stayed here, and even brought his two kids along.
So Wan Haichao almost ended up with two more brothers... Luckily, her dad already had enough sons...
But it seemed Wan Xiaoshan was short on daughters...
Wan Jia'an and Luo Yuansen still ended up becoming her unofficial brothers.
No worries. Wan Haichao could ace her exams with a pen and beat up thugs with her fists.
Wan Jia'an: I have never passed a math test.
Wan Haichao: I'm top of the grade in math. I'll tutor you from the beginning.
On their way to school together, they suddenly ran into a group of muggers.
Wan Jia'an and Luo Yuansen: There are too many of them. Maybe we should just hand over the money.
Wan Haichao: After eight years of martial arts, I finally have a chance to use what I learned. Wan family kids, get them!
In her previous life, Wan Haichao had an online friend for over a decade. They had never met, exchanged photos or videos, or spoken on the phone. They were each other's sounding boards on QQ. His name was "Big Fish."
Later, she lost him.
She also had a coworker who was her neighbor. They worked well together and looked after each other in their personal lives. Their relationship was a little complicated, but neither of them ever took that step. His name was "Xiang Beikun."
Later, Wan Haichao returned to her hometown. There was no later for them.
After being reborn, Wan Haichao had no choice but to resort to superstition. She helped Uncle Lian avoid the shipwreck, and he brought gifts and a few people over to thank her.
At her own home, she met the teenage Xiang Beikun.
It was years later that she learned he also had a childhood nickname: "Big Fish"...
Upcoming novel: Transmigrating to Another World to Become an Army Wife (1980s)
Blurb:
Gu Xiaoqi's parents were first-generation entrepreneurs, and they made it big. By all rights, she should have been a rich heiress. But she was different from other rich kids.
Her parents had both been public servants, but when they insisted on having her as their second child, they lost their jobs and had no choice but to take the plunge into business.
As soon as she could walk, they sent her to live with her grandparents, who had retired and returned to their hometown to open a clinic. From childhood, she did little besides chase chickens and dogs, and read prescriptions and medical case records.
When she grew up, she didn't become a doctor dedicated to saving lives. Her grandparents said becoming a doctor meant being prepared to spend years building experience. But her parents had told her and her brother from an early age that the money they earned belonged to them, not their children. They would do their best to spend it all while they were alive, and wouldn't leave them anything they hadn't managed to spend.
When the college entrance exams were approaching, her brother said, "Study something related to money. Then you can make money for us to count."
So she enrolled in a finance and economics university, then became an accountant after graduating. Her brother used the startup fund their parents had set aside for her to start a business, and he succeeded too.
Just as she was dreaming of counting money until her hands cramped, she transmigrated.
This was a parallel world in the 1970s or 1980s, and the body she had transmigrated into belonged to a high school student whose parents had both died.
Her uncle and aunt wanted her to stay in school and take the college entrance exams. She looked at her two older brothers, who were holding their university admission letters, and at her bedridden uncle, who was waiting for a family member to learn acupuncture and come back to treat him. Then she said to her younger brother, "You go to school. I'll learn acupuncture, and when you start earning money, give me half to spend."
She talked her brother into going to school and escaped the college entrance exams. Thanks to her basic knowledge, she picked up acupuncture quickly, and with her help, her uncle slowly regained his health.
But she hadn't had long to relax when she suddenly heard that she had a fiance she'd been promised to as a child, and he was coming back to discuss their marriage!
Theme: Work hard to save money and give yourself and your family a better life.
Oh my God, this is a beating, a car accident and a migraine, all at the same time. . .
These two chapters are really boring.
Too bad, why create misfortune if you don't seek gold? Wouldn't it be a good idea to bring Wan Haichao's three years of hard work to a successful end?
This ending... Is too watery
Congratulations on the completion! Looking forward to new articles!
The author is big. The corn section can be modified. My family is from a rural area. If corn is mixed and there are several varieties, the corn grown will be of all colors. When I was growing corn, my family grew white glutinous corn, and the family next door grew purple corn. When it grew, there were two colors mixed on the corn.
Mom?! How can there be such a thing? Who taught you to finish it like this?
What's going on? Every time a critical moment comes, he arranges a hardship for the heroine.
Don't affect your performance in the college entrance examination! That's too bloody
Now that I'm back, I'd better cherish the present. I'm not too cold about the past. It happened in my last life anyway.
