V has many titles. To most people, she's the most famous mercenary at the Afterlife, (deleted) Night City's Reaper (deleted), Night City's boxing champion, and an ordinary citizen who loves to break up fights. But to the friends who know her, she's always the most loyal friend.
She's willing to help her friends overthrow the Tyger Claws' rule over Clouds, rescue a friend's kidnapped nephew, risk her life to retrieve stolen goods from a Wraith hideout, and even... let the annoying electronic ghost in her head take over her body.
When she abandoned her body and entered cyberspace, she didn't know what she would become. She only hoped for a fresh start.
Instead, when she opened her eyes, she was alive again, and in Japan in 2007, in a slum known as the Canning Town.
V: This is way too new.
Six years later, V had made a name for herself locally when a new ripperdoc got in touch and said he had a job for her.
When they met, he opened with, "Hello, nice to meet you. You're the famous V, right?"
V: ...I have a bad feeling about this.
Reading guide:
1. The protagonist is V from Cyberpunk 2077, but this is my take on V, and she's very different from the canon V.
