My Textbooks Turned into People

After Xu Jingzhuo, a burned-out office worker, was reborn in high school, she discovered that every textbook she touched turned into a person.

A world of personified textbooks.

Chinese, a gentle and refined young gentleman, could never get her to memorize classical poetry. Dressed in a blue robe patterned with mountains and rivers, he bent toward her and smiled. “No matter. If you forget, I'll simply remind you what I look like.”

Physics, a taciturn, oil-bottle type who wore black-rimmed glasses, always pinned the girl to her desk in the middle of the night. He wouldn't let her sleep until she finished a whole physics exam, and if she couldn't solve the problems, he'd give her a punishment-like little twitch.

English, a handsome young man with golden curls, was an expert at making sly, cutting remarks every day.

“Big Sis, you spend so much time studying Chinese every day, and Brother Chinese only gives you those few points? Unlike me. If you look at me a little longer, I'll get you a perfect score.”

After she started college, Xu Jingzhuo thought things would get better, until she accidentally touched the comprehensive English textbook belonging to her roommate, an English major. He turned into a handsome gentleman with blond hair, blue eyes, and gold-rimmed glasses.

“Beautiful young lady, a proper lady shouldn't touch a gentleman so casually.”
