He competes with him for the title of top female insect at the military academy and accidentally steals his betrothed... Meanwhile, in the full-dive arena, Jiang Ling works hard to improve his combat skills, a bright pink bow blinking above his head as he teams up with a big shot to tackle dungeons. One day, the two insects team up for a tournament and add each other on their terminals. "Where's my sweet, well-behaved sub-female / gentle big shot? How could it be you?" Elsewhere, the Imperial Hospital issues a test report: The pheromone compatibility of the two insects is 100 percent. Marriage is strongly recommended, immediately! One day, Ulysses finds Jiang Ling. His face is flushed, and Jiang Ling guesses he's absolutely furious with him. "I want to tell you something." Jiang Ling gazes at him fearlessly. What, are you going to challenge me? No time to waste. I'll give it my all and treat you, a worthy and respected "I like you." Opponent. Huh? During the tournament, Jiang Ling restores his identity as an S-rank male insect to save the Empire. The whole nation is in an uproar: You're a delicate male insect who should be protected. How are you so swoon-worthy and such a good fighter? After the identity of the only S-rank male insect in the insectoid world is revealed, love letters from countless female insects pour in to Jiang Ling like snowflakes. The female insects all hope to win the favor of this supremely esteemed lord. Those who know Ulysses and Jiang Ling don't get along can't help worrying about Ulysses. Until they see Ulysses on the news, arm around Jiang Ling's waist, appearing in public with a smile that says victory is already his. Rivals who used to clash head-on have become... the primary spouse? A cool, aloof-on-the-outside, goofy-on-the-inside, oblivious heartthrob seme x a rebellious mad dog at first, later a devoted loyal dog who gets tamed uke [Recommended to skip the simulated insect-life arc in chapters 17-24!!!] Tips: 1. The seme doesn't dote on the uke. The two insects bicker and fight at first, then their romance turns sweet. 2. There isn't much everyday life. The military academy and tournament arcs take up most of the story. 3. A chuunibyou power fantasy, with lots of author-created worldbuilding. 4. This isn't a conventional insectoid-world redemption story. Both the seme and uke are exceptional people who don't need anyone to pull them out of the mud. The third and fourth were twins from next door who used to run after me calling me big brother when we were children. They're now students at the military academy. They act so well-behaved around me, like obedient little cats and dogs. It would be perfect if I hadn't seen them pin another female insect who was courting me beneath their feet, smiling like maniacs. After plenty of twists and turns, I finally found a female insect who seemed easy enough on the eyes, and I was about to walk down the aisle. Then, at the wedding, my rightful primary spouse came back. And he had even more power and influence than before. 1. The uke's feelings for the seme are stronger. 2. The uke isn't the aloof, prickly, silent type. Theme: All exploration of the world beyond ourselves will ultimately lead us back to our own hearts.
