Wei Wu is the most unusual NPC in the infinite-flow game. He's a staunch atheist.

Special ability: Completely block all paranormal events and automatically rationalize any existing anomalies.
Wei Wu is quite happy with his ordinary life. He has a sweet, adorable little brother and gets along well with people.
The only downside is that he's been having bad luck lately, always being forced to move or change jobs. He's tried all kinds of work to earn money, but every job has been interrupted by some uncontrollable circumstance.
When he was a substitute teacher at a remote middle school, he patrolled the school building in the middle of the night and saw a long-haired girl crouched in the corner, crying.
Wei Wu went over to comfort her. "What's wrong, student?"
The girl turned her head. She still had long, straight hair.
Without batting an eye, Wei Wu kindly tied her hair into two pigtails on either side and sincerely praised her. "You look lovely."
When he moved into an old, dilapidated villa, he found a group of neighbors living there too. It was lively, but they were far too superstitious.
A terrified player cried, "There's something wrong with your little brother! He's possessed by a demon!"
Materialist Wei Wu frowned. "It's the 21st century. How can you still be so superstitious?"
He picked up his little brother's drawing and tried to make out the stick figures being dismembered in five different ways. Then he said thoughtfully, "Sweetie, I think you have a real talent for drawing. How about I sign you up for some art classes?"

When he returned to the countryside to visit his relatives, he was woken from a sound sleep in the middle of the night by a relentless knocking. In the dark, he took a candle to the door. "Who's there?"
In the dim candlelight, a pair of little feet in red embroidered shoes kept knocking rhythmically against the door. Wei Wu looked up and saw a woman in a red wedding dress hanging outside his house, glaring at him.
He was so frightened that he immediately pulled out his phone and dialed 120. "Hello, is this the hospital? Please send an ambulance over as soon as possible!"

Yu Liao had always been unstoppable in the infinite game. He never expected to stumble over such a bizarre NPC.
He watched the young man in the distance playing "Good Luck Comes" while angrily dismantling a ghost doll, cursing as he went. "Which [beep] was such a jerk that they stuffed my family photo into this doll's belly? Do you know how expensive that is?!"
Yu Liao's mouth twitched. "...A bug?"
The players stared in shock. "I-is this the legendary physical exorcism?!"
Materialists are scary. Poor materialists are even scarier.
