A Rose Doted On

A gorgeous, delicate rich girl vs. a scummy playboy on the surface, but a devoted loyalist underneath

Short story, not serialized for payment.

The RN team has had two captains: former captain Zhou Di and current captain Shen Wang. Rumor has it that the two are sworn enemies who can't stand the sight of each other.

As RN's former captain, Zhou Di stayed loyal even when the team was reduced to an amateur outfit. She led RN from private tournaments to official competitions, then left with her head held high once everything was on track, setting off alone for Germany.

On the day Zhou Di left, Shen Wang, a captain parachuted in by the investors, took her place. He led RN to three consecutive national championship titles, earning his reputation as a once-in-a-generation captain.

That is, until Zhou Di returned to the team... as coach of WIN, RN's archrival.

After the first match, Shen Wang looked perfectly calm.

After the second, the calm man couldn't keep up the act.

After a crushing defeat in the third match, Shen Wang worked up the courage to bring the drunk woman back to the team base. He never expected her first words to be:

"You're so bad. You don't deserve to win."

Shen Wang: "..."

Isn't this supposed to be a story about rekindling an old romance?!
