**Synopsis
*Volume One: Spring Grass Grows Again
A carefully orchestrated upheaval, designed with conflicting aims, brings Siyue unexpectedly to the Nine Heavens Continent. Using Gong Yuexi, an exiled daughter of the Gong clan, as her identity, she enters human society.
Guided by Mu Qianqian, the ninety-second Generation Keeper of the World, she reunites with Chen Zhao. Mu Qianqian then assigns her to investigate the Wen family's missing daughter case in Qingcheng. Along the way, she encounters Zhong Ying, a girl from another world.
But the case takes several unexpected turns, and Zhong Ying is forcibly taken away by the Featherfolk because of her identity. To protect the Wolfkin, Gong Yuexi takes up the fight...
She had intended to rescue Zhong Ying once things had settled down, but one misstep leaves her to witness Zhong Ying sacrifice her life to save the people of the world.
At the same time, worldly prejudice separates Siyue and Chen Zhao once more. Before leaving, Siyue returns to the same place, only to discover that Zhong Ying has been reborn through the phoenix's flames.
After traveling through the lands of the court for several years, Siyue returns to Tiancheng, this time to kill Mu Qianqian.

**Setting
A lightly ensemble-focused story. No political scheming, palace intrigue, golden finger, or stand-in romance between the leads.
The female lead has no prior experience; the male lead pursues the female lead.
Slow-paced.
