A Qing Dynasty Time-Travel Story: The Tenth Prince's Consort

People are always saying that fox spirits have black hearts. But our fox spirit clan clearly has no hearts at all, so how could they be black?

Having a heart hinders cultivation. When each member of our clan is born, the elders use magic to remove and seal away their heart. They must never touch it for the rest of their lives.

After enduring countless hardships, Hu Xiaoli finally cultivated a human form, only to be struck dead by lightning that very night.

When she woke, she had become the future Tenth Prince's Consort. All her cultivation had turned to dust, but she had gained a beating heart.

Hu Xiaoli: ...

With spiritual energy so scarce that cultivation was impossible, Hu Xiaoli decided she could live with it. She no longer had to abstain from food and eat vegetarian meals all day just to become an immortal!

She'd gotten a life for free, and could eat roast chicken every day. Even better, she still had her clan's unique ability: mind reading.

With mind reading on her side, the Virtuous Consort, the Honored Consort, and the Eighth and Ninth Princes' consorts were no match for her. Want to punish or frame her? Not a chance, not even through the window!

The immortal life she'd worked so hard for in her previous life was simply wonderful~

P.S. Semi-alternate setting, one-on-one, both leads are virgins.

Theme: Never give up or lose hope.
