Shui You’s Short Stories

An old story with a new premise, replacing it gradually

-

1. I really couldn't write the originally planned extra chapter.

2. Sharing some horror, supernatural, suspense, and nonhuman romance snacks (though they might not be romance).

3. A collection of standalone stories. I'll write whatever comes to mind. Free until completion, then it may go behind a paywall.

4. No content warnings. There may be a lot of potential triggers, so read with caution. (I can only guarantee the male leads are basically sexually inexperienced.)

"The Jade Man"

She and her husband are the model couple in everyone else's eyes: childhood sweethearts, a perfect match.

They've been married for seven years, and only she knows the discord and filth beneath the surface. He doesn't love her.

Desperate to save their marriage, she turns to every god and Buddha she can think of, even adding talisman water to her husband's soup.

One day, her increasingly frail husband brings home an antique offering made of gold and jade.

It's said to have been given to him by an enlightened monk, and to ward off ghosts and evil spirits and bring good fortune.

She is terrified.

She's afraid that the supreme being will discover her despicable, wicked methods.

At night, they share a bed but dream separate dreams.

Her husband, who hasn't been intimate with her in a long time, suddenly slips open her clothes. His caressing fingers are as cold as jade.

...What a pure jade man.

"A Loving Family"

She's the perfect child everyone envies: fair-skinned and beautiful, top of her class, with a harmonious family and a perfect boyfriend.

One day, she suddenly receives a note that says: Run! Your family and boyfriend are all monsters in disguise!

But strangely, the handwriting is unmistakably her own...
