When a Laid-Back Slacker Falls into the Villain's Lair

I'm a salted fish, in the literal sense, and I've turned into the real heiress in a story where everyone dotes on her.

According to the plot, when I turned eighteen, the richest family in the country would claim me, and I'd live a happy little life. But after the fake heiress was reborn, she changed the original course of events and had me sent to a psychiatric hospital.

Everyone there was strange.

My eldest brother loved to brag about things like force fields and time machines. I couldn't be bothered to argue, so every time I just went along with him: Sure, sure, sure.

My second brother hardly spoke. Every day, he crouched in a corner, scribbling away. As a salted fish, I liked dark places too, so I'd sit with him for half the day.

My third brother called himself a gaming genius and had a terrible temper. Nobody liked him. One time, I happened to sit across from him at dinner. He snapped at me, but I pretended not to hear. I couldn't be bothered to move.

Then, much later...

My eldest brother brought out his award-winning invention. My second brother gave me a famous painting worth tens of millions. My third brother stood on the world stage to thank me.

That's when I realized they had all been telling the truth!!!
