Regarding a certain platform's restrictions on human trafficking themes: only some scenes involving the subject are permitted, and the story must not whitewash traffickers or trafficking. Related scenes must have positive social significance, and criminal acts must be punished by law.
In the spirit of impartial law enforcement, the author swears here that the protagonist will absolutely not be given any opportunity to escape justice, in any form.
All events in this story are fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental.
[Blurb]
In 2045, robot furniture stores are spreading unchecked through major cities. Robots that seem to serve humanity have begun to develop consciousness of their own, and no one knows what they're thinking. The protagonist, Liang Yonghao, finds himself in a "dangerous" situation.
*
Liang Yonghao is making a deal with his contact on the street when his younger brother betrays him, landing him in prison.
His younger brother, Liang Yongchao, helped Liang Yonghao provide other people with citizens' personal information, thereby disrupting social order. He turns himself in and is sentenced to six months' detention and a fine. Later, his parents-in-law bail him out, and he stays home to care for his wife, child, and robot.
"You and your master bought me together. It was my honor. I never wanted to help my master sell other people's information. You set me free. For the three years after my master left, you charged and repaired me. I should have repaid you... But my master's fingerprints were programmed into my consciousness, and I had no choice but to obey him. I'm sorry, Liang Yongchao. I dragged you into this."
Theme: The most terrifying thing isn't ghosts or gods, but the human heart.
It's almost finished. I'll write the finale tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Sisters who like Tuenwen can get ready.
