Previous Life:
As a new emperor ascended the throne, enemy forces swarmed in from the borderlands, and Xiao Tian, Marquis of Zhenbei, died on the battlefield.
When the terrible news arrived, not one of the court officials was willing to lead an army against the enemy.
Xiao Xiangnan, the Marquis's legitimate daughter, was at home waiting to be married. Upon hearing the news, she resolutely entered the palace to request an imperial decree, asking to go to the border and repel the invaders, fulfilling her father's dying wish.
Her actions defied convention and shocked the entire Li Dynasty, yet no one dared to speak up in protest. They were all afraid the deadly assignment would fall to them.
The emperor, seated far away on the throne, was Xiao Xiangnan's future husband. With a few strokes of his brush, he sent the bride-to-be to the borderlands in a decree.
Xiao Xiangnan spent a year earning the army's trust, five years recovering the occupied cities, and ten years making the enemy afraid to invade again for the foreseeable future.
After ten years of war, Xiao Xiangnan finally fulfilled her father's dying wish. She thought an imperial decree of reward would arrive and she would return triumphantly to the capital. Instead, a secret edict came, and she was secretly executed...
Xiao Xiangnan was tired, sick of it all, and worn out...
Modern Day:
Reborn in a strange world of bustling traffic and dazzling lights, Xiangnan decided to give up trying and do only what she liked.

Xiangnan: Doesn't matter. I just want to eat my fill.
Netizens: What's with that attitude of giving up?
Production team: Who invited this jinx?
Livestream viewers: Why is this newcomer so rude? The seniors are all competing to work. What gives her the right to slack off?
Later, despite never competing for anything or caring about fame and fortune in any episode, Xiangnan attracted a huge audience.
Netizens: Quick, point the camera at Xiangnan! I want to see how she avoids the camera today and evades the production team's control. Don't give her an opening. I want to watch this beauty outsmart the production team...
But why was there always someone trailing behind the beauty?
