(Anime Crossover) Shackles

The Bonds of Fate

Starry, starry night, a night speckled with stars

Paint your palette blue and gray, your canvas painted gray-blue

Look out on a summer's day, a casual glance on a summer day

With eyes that know the darkness in my soul, eyes that brush the dark chamber of my soul

Shadows on the hills, layers of overlapping hills

Sketch the trees and the daffodils, dotted with lush woods and beautiful daffodils

Catch the breeze and the winter chills, colors leap across snowy linen

In colors on the snowy linen land, capturing the thaw of spring after winter's cold

Now I understand, at last I understand

What you tried to say to me, your silent words

How you suffered for your sanity, how being sane made you so uneasy

How you tried to set them free, how you longed to set them all free

They would not listen, yet no one would listen

They did not know how, no one understood

Perhaps they'll listen now, perhaps people have changed by now

For they could not love you, people could never love you

But still your love was true, yet your love remained true

And when no hope was left inside, when all hope within you was gone

You took your life, you chose eternal sleep

As lovers often do, like lovers who act on impulse

But I could have told you, but I never got to tell you

This world was never meant for one, a life as brilliant

As beautiful as you. was never meant to exist in this world
