The Straight Man's Downfall

Chen Huazhu is a straight man with three older sisters. He grew up cherished by his entire family.

The family always saved the best food and things for him. From childhood, he was plump and round, as pale and chubby as a steamed bun, with such a full face that you could barely see his eyes. He also had a terrible temper and all the spoiled airs of a young master.

Chen Huazhu was a poor student and dropped out early. His family supported him until they ran out of money and could no longer make ends meet. Only then did he reluctantly go out to find a job.

He was sure that as soon as he stood before an HR manager, they would beg him to work for them. Instead, the manager dismissed him outright, saying his education was too limited.

Furious and helpless, Chen Huazhu declared that every dog has its day, and told them to just wait and see.

He stormed out of the company, but to fill his stomach, he had no choice but to look for manual labor. On his very first day hauling bricks, he could barely lift a thing, and he was hungry with no money to show for it.

Chen Huazhu wanted to cry and quit, but then he remembered that at lunch, his coworkers had coaxed him into playing cards and he had lost money he couldn't repay. All he could do was grit his teeth and keep going, trembling.

In less than half a month of hauling bricks, the fat on Chen Huazhu's face and body had melted away, revealing a beautiful face. His body grew lean, and he had fair, lovely skin that wouldn't tan. He thought he was doomed: if he couldn't move the bricks, the boss would soon fire him. Worried and terrified, he hid under the covers and secretly cried more than once.

But to his surprise, life at the construction site became easier. All he had to do was let someone touch his hand or kiss his cheek, and there were plenty of people willing to haul bricks for him.

Overjoyed, Chen Huazhu grew ever more spoiled, and his standards for men kept dropping.

Content warnings:

1. The bottom is a straight man with utterly outrageous values. This does not reflect the author's values, this does not reflect the author's values, this does not reflect the author's values!

2. At first, the bottom really does look terrible. His family just has good genes, and all three of his sisters are beautiful. Once he loses weight, he'll be stunning.

3. His sisters are all wonderful people and will get happy endings. Once Zhu Zhu grows up, he'll protect them too.
