After I Stopped Loving Her, She Went Mad

Yu Qingzhi was hopelessly in love with Bai Wei, the young mistress of Chunze Manor.

In her eyes, Bai Wei was gentle and kind, someone who inspired tenderness, the most wonderful woman in the world.

But Yu Qingzhi was a woman too, one with a flawed face, wooden and dull.

Knowing she was unworthy, she never let on, only silently protecting Bai Wei.

Even so, Bai Wei discovered how Yu Qingzhi felt.

No one knew that, besides being the young mistress of Chunze Manor, Bai Wei was also Ji Heruo, mistress of Biluo Palace.

She pretended to be fragile and innocent, but deep down she was wicked and arrogant.

When Ji Heruo realized Yu Qingzhi was in love with her, she smiled maliciously. She was curious to see how far this woman, dressed in coarse gray clothes and seemingly detached from the world, would go for Bai Wei.

So, on a snowy night, she broke into Yu Qingzhi's room and coaxed her with a laugh: I'm Bai Wei's twin sister.

Night after night, Yu Qingzhi endured Ji Heruo's humiliations. By day, she acted as though nothing had happened in front of Bai Wei. She only wanted to protect her, to make sure no one could hurt her.

But how could it have come to this?

It had all been a lie.

A fire broke out at Chunze Manor, and someone named Bai Wei died in the flames.

Another woman named Ji Heruo was so traumatized she went mad.

They say she searched day and night for someone named Yu Qingzhi. When she finally found her, she discovered that Yu Qingzhi wanted nothing to do with her anymore. It was a warm spring day, and Yu Qingzhi was buying flowers on the street. When asked, she smiled and said, "They're for my beloved wife."

Her beloved wife was not Ji Heruo.

Angsty melodrama, groveling-to-win-her-back, happy ending, jealous of myself + using myself as a substitute
