Blurb:
Qingyi was Zhumei's first love in high school.
He was peculiar. During group activities, he always sat alone in a corner and never spoke to anyone first. A few boys in his class liked to pick on him, and he never fought back.
The girls thought Qingyi had a beautiful face and often helped him deal with various troubles, but every time, all he did was politely say, "Thank you." He never got especially close to anyone.
So when Qingyi confessed to Zhumei, she was utterly surprised.
But their relationship lasted less than a week before Qingyi disappeared.
The police found his clothes by the river and concluded that he had drowned while swimming and been swept away by the current.
After graduating from high school, Zhumei got into a university in Tokyo and stayed there to work.
When work brought her back to her hometown, she passed by that river and saw the late Qingyi standing on the opposite bank.
He was as tall as a tree, his long hair reaching his heels. Smiling, he waved at her.
"Zhumei, long time no see."
