*Two generals from enemy nations. A bright and bold female general x a decisive, cunning grand general
“She once saved my life and taught me the ways of intrigue and the principles of life. Later, when I heard she was dead, I refused to believe it.”
“That day, the weather was warm and the spring light was bright. Her smile was bold and fierce. She only had to look at me, and I was lost for years.”
She was the Grand General who guarded the frontier for ten years. One day, upon returning to the capital, an arrow pierced her heart at the city gates. She died with her eyes wide open.
Blood spattered the pear blossoms. Traitors openly plotted to seize power, and the country she had defended was already rotten and festering in corners unseen.
Her unwavering loyalty had given someone else the land and rivers.
When she opened her eyes again, she had been reborn in the body of a frail young princess in her sworn enemy's manor, a delicate, gentle beauty as pure as the breeze and moonlight, like an orchid and jade fungus.
Her old friends from court had become powerful ministers in another kingdom. The wandering hero she had saved by chance was a leader of the demonic sect. The young man at the flower house next door was just like the loyal deputy general who had once stood by her side. And the enemy general she'd sworn to defeat was a proud, prickly man who never said what he really felt?
To avoid suspicion and live long enough to take revenge, Shen Jingque was on tenterhooks. The steely, iron-blooded Grand General was forced to sit still and act like a frail young lady.
Gu Changming first realized something was off about the princess in his manor on a clear afternoon. She stepped in through the doorway and raised her head. The light in her eyes was just like that of someone he'd once known.
Unyielding and bold.
Gu Changming thought he'd imagined it, until he secretly learned that his sworn enemy had died with an arrow through the heart. He ran out like a madman, only to be held back by his deputy general.
Gu Changming could never quite explain how he felt about Shen Jingque. It was complicated, like the wild grasses of the northern frontier, growing wildly in the wind before he even noticed.
To him, she was also like the moon over the desert, so bright and pure that even the moon itself paled beside her smile.
When he saw the princess again, her smile was just as familiar, as if someone from his past had come to stand beside him. The skill she revealed by accident left him stunned.
His sworn enemy had been reborn by his side.
For the first time in his life, Grand General Gu acted irrationally.
[Bonus Scene]
Young Princess Shen ran into some ruffians outside the city. Three of them charged at her, and she knocked them all down with a single punch each, her fists thudding against them.
When she turned around, her sworn enemy and his strategist were staring at her in shock.
Young Princess Shen panicked. She looked around, then fell to the ground in a very "frail" manner. “Ow, that hurts...”

An assassin of unknown origin and formidable skill went straight for Young Princess Shen and the trembling girl behind her.
Without a word, Shen Jingque struck the assassin away with a single palm, taking him down along with his blade.
The young girl stared in shock. A crowd was hurrying over from nearby.
Young Princess Shen sensed something was wrong. She looked around again, just in time to see her sworn enemy walking slowly toward them through the courtyard. She immediately ran over and, without a word, shoved the dagger into his hand.
As the arriving crowd murmured among themselves, Young Princess Shen clasped her hands and bowed in full view of everyone. “Thank you, Grand General Gu, for saving my life!”
Gu Changming: ?
-- “I once died beneath the city wall. Now I've returned, seeking only to change the course of events.”
-- “They say her body vanished in the wilderness, but I see her brows in the green mountains and her smile in the blazing sun. The begonias blooming along the covered walkway mark where she once passed. I follow in her footsteps, hoping her soul will return.”
-- “She once said that I, Gu Changming, would shine forever like an eternal lamp. This time, I'll stay by her side and shine through the years.”
Theme: When the heart burns like a wild flame, conviction and the wind keep it alight
I raised my head to show that I'm back too
Back, back, the author came with a ray of white moonlight, but after a while the white moonlight gradually disappeared again
This is actually more real. Rebirth and a new shell, but the person inside is not Shen Tang. Revenge for the country is a matter of course.
How come there are no comments on such a beautiful article?
Is Shen Jingque a boy or a girl? Why can't she always tell him apart?
52%, It should be her next to the female character.
The author is back and will update
I haven't seen Ruoying for a long time, why did I kill him now?
The author is coming back soon. I was so happy to read it, but now the author has run away.
Shen Jingque has a great character - he is worthy of being a general who is dedicated to the country and cares about the people. He speaks in a very down-to-earth manner.
