While investigating a case, Chu Ci accidentally transmigrated into a detective novel set in Hong Kong in the 1990s and got bound to a Medium System as soon as she arrived.

The original owner had scammed and offended a local gang boss. Her grandmother had been beaten and hospitalized, and her landlord and neighbors were all pressuring her to move away with her elderly grandmother. Her situation was dire.

Leung the Newspaper Seller said he absolutely trusted the master and swore off gambling! But he couldn't resist temptation. Someone drew him into a few games of chess, and he lost forty years of his life.

Fortunately, the Medium System leveled up. Chu Ci could not only communicate with spirits, but also got the chance to work as a ghost officer and help him win back the years he'd lost.

From then on, she could travel freely between the human world and the underworld.

Later, a series of bizarre cases broke out.

Sixteen girls in one class turned into eighty-year-old women overnight and were on the verge of death;

Her only purpose in life is to serve as a maid for the male lead and his adopted younger sister, the female lead, and take their abuse.

At the end, she gets thanked by the leads just before she dies, then dies with a blissful smile.

Huo Sheng opens her eyes to find herself transmigrated into the meek supporting character...
