Ji Yuan was a god sealed inside a lotus lantern.
He slept in silence, waiting for time to wear away until he vanished without a trace.
But one day, the seal weakened.
He slipped through a crack in the seal and saw the person who had restored his consciousness and brought him back into the world.
Ji Yuan straightened his flowing robes and adjusted his crown, then said coolly and succinctly, “Mortal, you have three wishes.”
The mortal scratched their chin, looking uncertain.
Then they looked Ji Yuan up and down and finally sighed, saying helplessly, “All right, all right. You are pretty good-looking.”
Ji Yuan stared at the mortal in confusion.
Then he heard the mortal say, “What wishes? Go ahead and tell me. I'll do my best to grant them.”
Ji Yuan: “?”
