[Demon Slayer] Giyu Tomioka's Investigation into the Best Route to Survival

After Tanjiro was turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji, Giyu Tomioka rushed forward in a panic, paying no heed to his own injuries.

But he was slapped flying.

Not only was he sent flying a long way, he was also sent back eight years in time.

Seeing the person before him, exactly as he remembered, Giyu ran toward him without hesitation.

With his sword raised, that is.

After figuring out that the person before him wasn't a product of Blood Demon Art and that he'd really gone back six years, he chose to trade his own life for a chance to save Sabito from his destined death.

But then he discovered that he'd succeeded, but not entirely.

The Hand Demon had clearly eaten him, yet when he opened his eyes again, he saw the senior who gave such painful slaps. In the senior's eyes, he'd been gone for a few days, then returned and tried to cut him down for no reason at all.

Then he discovered that he couldn't save people by trading his life for theirs, because every time he died, he started over from some point in his own past.

After that, he set out on a path of dying and going back in time again and again to save everyone.

"I'm not like the rest of you." (Meaning that he's very weak, and only manages to save most people because he knows in advance what's going to happen.)

The others: "That guy never even gets a scratch on a mission. Of course he's different from the rest of us, who are always getting hurt."
