In 2011, Yin Zhixiu went to Seoul alone to find a friend, and joined the ranks of trainees.
In 2018, after six long years, Yin Zhixiu finally got her wish and stood onstage as a member of (G)I-DLE, only to become invisible to the fans. But in the eyes of (G)I-DLE, Yin Zhixiu was the most reassuring presence. No matter what they did, she was always there to support them. When the company abandoned its plans for a girl group, she told Jeon Soyeon, "Go make the music you want. If it's you, Soyeon, I'm sure you can do it." When Yuqi returned to China to take part in Keep Running, she told her, "Go without worry. I'll wait for you to come back." When Soojin left the group, she said, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
In 2021, after the limited-time group let everyone see Yin Zhixiu, she said she wasn't the sun in everyone's eyes, but hoped she could be a star in the night sky. If people occasionally thought of her, that alone would make her happy.
