You Have to Snatch Your Own Wife

Meng Chen, a male college student, falls out with his family over his dream of becoming an actor. They cut off all his living expenses, so he has no choice but to take a part-time job as a bungee-jumping instructor.

One day, a very strange tourist comes to bungee jump. Unlike his companions, who are screaming and yelling, he stays completely indifferent and even jumps before Meng Chen can finish checking his safety harness.

Meng Chen: Holy crap! You scared me to death! Good thing I tightened it properly the first time!

After the jump, Meng Chen grabs him and lectures him on a whole bunch of safety precautions. The other man only nods, without even giving him a glance.

Meng Chen: Fine.

When summer break ends, Meng Chen goes back to skipping class to work as an extra. Then he suddenly realizes that Ye Ting, the male lead in the production, is the same tourist he met that day.

After spending some time together, Meng Chen discovers that Ye Ting is a brilliant actor, yet virtually unknown in the industry. Every day after filming, a luxury car waits at the set. Whenever Ye Ting gets out of it, his eyes are red from being pushed to his limits.

For the first time, Meng Chen begins to question his dream: The entertainment industry is really messed up.

.

For the first twenty-odd years of his life, Ye Ting has been living like a puppet on strings. One day, he finally can't take it anymore and seeks a way out, but someone grabs him and furiously yells at him, telling him to cherish his life.

A reckless, foolish young man applies to be an extra on the set, and also barges into his life, testing the waters and drawing closer time and again, even promising to protect him.

Ye Ting keeps dodging him, afraid he will suffer the same revenge as all those who pursued him before.

He never expected Meng Chen to succeed.
