(Working title)
One-line summary: How to make the protagonist hunt me down for the rest of my life with just one sentence.
Yue Mijin is the great villain of the cultivation world, a man everyone wants dead. In life, he was carefree and unconventional; in death, he was just as unrestrained, though tragically short-lived.
After wandering aimlessly for years, he finally discovered that the little brat he'd once run into had grown up to become the successor to Kunlun Sect, the leader of the righteous path.
The hapless ghost reached out to tug at the man's face, as cold and expressionless as ice and snow. But the moment he touched him, he was sent back twenty years, to the first time he'd met that little brat.
The demons had slaughtered the child's entire village and burned it to the ground. He was the sole survivor, hiding in a pile of grass on a distant mountainside, biting his hand hard to keep from crying out and alerting the demons.
After burying everyone in the village, he swore to avenge his family. He made his way toward the Ten Thousand Great Mountains, asking everywhere for the location of a cultivation sect. He braved the elements, with barely any clothes on his back, and slept in trees at night to avoid being hunted by wild beasts.
This was when Yue Mijin found the little brat in the mountains.
When Yue Mijin grabbed him, the boy was like a dirty little kitten with its claws out, fierce and frightened, stubborn and crying:
"Let go of me! Let go! Are you a bad person? If you're not, then help me! I'll repay you when I grow up!"
In his previous life, Yue Mijin hadn't known the boy's background. What had he said to the little brat? It seemed he'd tried to sound cool and ended up being pretentious:
"I am the root of all evil, the source of all calamity."
