Running Into the Ex I Dumped After Using Them on a Dating Show

Top-tier star, younger male model x older, flirtatious female musician (two years apart)

Q: What should you do if you run into your ex on a dating reality show?

Shi Ling: Thanks for asking. Not only did I run into him, he’s the ex I used and dumped. Is it too late to quit the show?

After returning to China, Shi Ling was talked into opening the hottest escape room in town with a friend. Then a bad friend sabotaged her and bundled her off to appear on a new dating reality show with an escape-room theme on Fruit TV. Their excuse was that free publicity was too good to pass up.

Since she was already there, she might as well make the best of it.

She might not be good at solving escape rooms, but when it came to charming men, Shi Ling knew exactly what she was doing.

But could someone explain why she had to run into the ex she had once gotten “for free” on a dating show?

He was still just as handsome as six years ago, standing out from the crowd at a glance.

Shi Ling reluctantly tore her gaze away, secretly regretting that she hadn’t slept with him more often back then.

Zhou Yi was the most handsome guy at Nan University, and C Brand’s leading male model, a top-tier star from the moment he debuted.

Even now, when modeling was a niche industry that mostly entertained itself, Zhou Yi’s face was widely agreed to be an enduring favorite among fans.

But fans didn’t know that Zhou Yi, known as an aloof beauty and a walking bundle of hormones,

had once suffered a disastrous heartbreak.

Six years later, he saw Shi Ling again: the woman who had seduced him, stolen his heart, and then left without a word.

Zhou Yi’s expression grew colder and colder.

Sometimes men can be even more petty than women.

Holding a grudge for six years over one thing, for example, is perfectly normal.

From nineteen to twenty-five, you were the only person I ever loved.
