Oda Sakunosuke went fishing and caught something strange. It seemed to be a beautiful jellyfish that had become a spirit.
The beautiful jellyfish said its name was Euphys, that it had nowhere to go, and that it would die if Oda didn't pay attention to it.
Oda thought about it. The fish tank at home was empty, so he might as well keep it as a pet.
"You're such a good person. I'll repay you."
The jellyfish spoke with tears in its eyes, deeply moved.
That night, Oda had a dream.
In it, he was a princess named Snow White, with a stepmother who wanted to lock him away, a prince who coveted his corpse, and seven strange humans who called themselves investigators.
Oda: ...
Oda didn't understand. Oda was deeply shocked.
When he woke, Oda saw the little jellyfish sprawled on top of him.
The little jellyfish reached out a tentacle and sleepily said hello. "Good morning... Did you like the Dreamlands I pulled you into?"
Oda: ...
So it was you.
"Could you pick something more relaxing next time?"
"Huh...?"
"...Never mind."
Looking at the little jellyfish's drowsy expression, Oda sighed.
"Let's just leave it at that. It's pretty nice."
Probably from Oda's point of view.
The jellyfish is a little monster that can turn into all sorts of things. Sit back and watch Oda keep a pet (not really).
Very out of character, and has almost nothing to do with the main story. Enter at your own risk.
*I've moved the timeline earlier. This is a young Oda who hasn't dreamed of writing novels yet!
