[Announcement] This novel will go into reverse premium on Tuesday, May 9. The chapters affected are 26 through 94, so please don't buy them again if you've already read them! Please add my untitled novel 001, listed in my profile, to your coming-soon list. Please, please, please! Love you all!!!

Emperor star Ji Lanzhou transmigrates into the same-named "frail" prince in a script he once criticized.

Everyone in the capital knows that Prince Yong has been sickly since childhood, all skin and bones, and not long for this world.

Faced with the original body's scrawny frame, Ji Lanzhou, an iron-pumping fanatic, thinks: Useless.

In the script, the scholars of the Great Qi kingdom consider thinness beautiful, and the court values civil officials over military ones.

The old emperor is wary of the meritorious Marquis Pingyuan, who guards the border, and even issues an edict ordering the marquis's only son, Jing Lou, to come to the capital for an arranged marriage, holding him hostage.

This young general is a military genius who has slain countless enemies. His name can intimidate the barbarians beyond the border and stop children from crying at night.

Unfortunately, rumors say that Jing Lou is ugly, burly, and an illiterate military brute.

A marriage between imperial blood and a crude military man is a tremendous joke.

The emperor's unloved eighth prince naturally becomes the butt of that joke.

Ji Lanzhou has only just transmigrated when he inexplicably gets married.

On their wedding night, Ji Lanzhou has barely stepped into the room when he meets a pair of eyes filled with resentment and resolve.

The next moment, a flash of cold light: a sharp dagger is pressed to his throat.

Ji Lanzhou suddenly remembers the key plot point:

"In the twenty-fourth year of Xiuwen, General Jing Lou, who could no longer bear the humiliation, beheaded her husband, Prince Yong, in front of the palace hall."

Prince Yong is a cannon-fodder character who pushes Jing Lou into rebellion. In the second year of their marriage, his "husband" cuts off his head.

Ji Lanzhou: ...Thank you so much.

To stay alive, Ji Lanzhou decides to treat the general with courtesy.

But he can't forget the young general's defiant gaze, or... her perky backside.

General Jing Lou has been with the army since childhood. What she hates most in this life is associating with weak scholars.

Who would have thought the senile old emperor would arrange for her to marry the useless eighth prince, Ji Lanzhou?

Jing Lou would rather die than endure this humiliation. She has already steeled herself to burn all her bridges.

On their wedding night, she points her sword at Ji Lanzhou.

She expects Prince Yong to be so terrified he'd piss himself, but instead she meets a pair of calm, cold eyes.

This eighth prince seems rather different from the rumors.

But Jing Lou can't understand when Ji Lanzhou got so tall and muscular!

Little scene:

Ji Lanzhou: If you don't eat, you'll get scrawny. Dig in!

Jing Lou: If you don't eat, you'll get thin as a civil official. Dig in!

One gains weight easily, and the other loses it easily. Together, all they do is eat, eat, eat.

Probably a food novel in disguise (
