The Mountain Pass Is Hard to Cross, Yet We Meet by Chance

A short piece inspired by "Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng."

The passes are hard to cross; who will pity those who have lost their way?

Chance encounters are all with strangers far from home.

The passes are impossible to cross, and chance encounters are impossible to find.

Such indifferent mountains have always been so tumultuous for me.
