"Tonight, Gotham can only count on one person to save us."
"Has he arrived?"
"He has. But just now, one of the goons killed him."
As a player with terrible reflexes, I stared at the death screen and Alfred's umpteenth prayer, lost in thought.
It's fine. I'm playing a realistic game.
I turned off the speedrun video from the guide creator and thought solemnly: Gotham is so brutal. I guess it makes sense that Batman sometimes gets killed by a militia goon while throwing punches at thin air.
I transmigrated.
It happened right after Batman suddenly interacted with me through the screen.
In the Batcave, Alfred smiled as he spoke to Bruce, but I felt like he was taking shots at me. "Master Bruce, I seem to have been praying for you a lot lately."
Bruce: ...Hmm.
Me: ...
Sorry I'm so bad at this!!!
Poison Ivy: Who taught you to drive?
Me: ...Mr. E?
The Riddler: What glitters in the dark?
Me: The message box from my client...?
The Riddler: It looks lifeless.
Me: My client's colorful black!
The Riddler: It fills you with dread
Me: My client's
The Riddler: ...That's it! No trophy for you!
I've never written a DC and Marvel crossover before, so the writing may feel a little off (nervous finger fidgeting).
And to be precise, it's not really a complete story. It's just a collection of fragments hastily strung together to make it easier to adapt into a comic strip. The cover is a screenshot from the comic.
I wrote it at the beginning of the year, but the artist still hasn't delivered, and I haven't had much motivation to write. Looking at it now, the writing isn't great and there are quite a few plot holes, but since I've written it anyway, I may as well post it (.)
If I do continue, I might completely rewrite the first chapter, though chances are I won't continue.
Just read it for fun, and I hope everyone has a great day!
Theme: You can still play games even if your reflexes are terrible.
