[Sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside world champion * unexpectedly adorable tournament host]

The LPL's most popular host: Song Yu.
Highly capable at her job, with a strong grasp of the game and fluency in several languages.
But what viewers and players love most is her striking, sophisticated, world-weary face.
"Nothing else to it. I just love the way Song Yu looks at me like I'm trash."
Former LPL world champion top laner: Jian Ximu.
A decorated champion during his career, now retired and a business owner. Without a doubt, a top-tier star.
What viewers and fans love to talk about isn't just his skill, but also his godlike good looks.
"Nothing else to it. Who wouldn't love a champion big brother who's rich, handsome, and perfect?"
Jian Ximu retired just as Song Yu became a host.
To outsiders, the two could hardly have any connection.
No one knew that Song Yu had once given him handmade gold-leaf gummies as a token of her confession.
*
Unlike her fiercely striking appearance, Song Yu was quiet and insecure as a student.
The only light in her dark life was Jian Ximu on the competition stage.
Her feelings for him had long surpassed those between a fan and her idol.
So, without hesitation, she confessed to him, even though her first hosting job was Jian Ximu's retirement ceremony.
But all he gave her in reply was an inscrutable smile and news that he was going abroad to study.

After returning to China, Jian Ximu visits his former teammates. In the middle of their lively conversation, he glances up and sees two people being interviewed after a match on the livestream screen.
"Wen Ye sure got lucky. That's Song Yu, and somehow he managed to win her over."
"We're all teammates, so why is there such a huge difference? Even Brother Jian doesn't have a girlfriend!"
Jian Ximu looks away without comment.
Late at night, Song Yu runs into Jian Ximu as she's leaving work.
They chat with unusual politeness, until the topic turns to Wen Ye. Jian Ximu asks casually:
"It must be pretty common in our circle for someone who confessed to me to end up dating one of my friends, right?"
"Isn't that right, Song Yu?"
