He had to be the one to comb her hair and cook her meals. Every day, he asked what she had done, whom she had met, and why she had gone to see them...

Fed up with him keeping tabs on her, Yu Zhou sneaked down the mountain.

But through the rising miasma, she suddenly spotted a familiar hem.

In the thick fog, his expression was eerily calm. He slowly smoothed Yu Zhou's disheveled hair, his voice cold and ominous:

"Tell Master, who tricked you into leaving?"

His web-like gaze and possessiveness were everywhere. Then one day, after her nemesis interrupted Yu Zhou and her junior brother discussing cultivation techniques for the umpteenth time, Yu Zhou finally snapped.

Furious, she raised her sword, intent on skipping straight to killing her nemesis. But before she could even lift it, his lips sealed hers.

His searing breath forced its way into Yu Zhou's mouth. In the chaos, she heard her nemesis's voice, low and hoarse, no longer cool and detached as before:

"You made the first move last time. This time, it's only fair that I do."
