The day Old Master Huo brought Chi Nuo home, he held a welcome banquet for her.
At the banquet, the old man told Chi Nuo that she could pick whichever of his three grandsons she wanted. The one she chose would become her fiancé and the heir to the Huo family.

Later, Chi Nuo kept getting into trouble outside, and after cleaning up her messes, Huo Yuanlin would scold her with a stern face. "Can't you stop causing trouble?"
Chi Nuo blinked and smiled without a care in the world. "Uncle, you can just ignore me."
Huo Yuanlin stared at her with a deep gaze for a moment. Just as she turned to leave, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. "Nuo Nuo, stop tempting me. When are you going to marry me?"
Chi Nuo pushed him away, smiling brightly. "Uncle, I'm still young. I won't even think about getting married until I'm at least your age. Didn't you only start thinking about marriage at this age, too?"
Huo Yuanlin was so furious he nearly had a heart attack. All he could do was shamelessly chase after her every day, begging her to marry him.
