After being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Yan Li signed an agreement with the Administration and entered minor worlds to begin a second life. However, the secret identity System he was given often glitched, making his whole persona increasingly bizarre. For example:
A flower grower with peerless sword skills and a split personality:
When Lu Xiaofeng first met Chi Yun, he thought the man would get along famously with his good friend Hua Manlou: a refined gentleman, warm and kind. Then he watched Chi Yun plant a stranger who'd harmed his flowers in a flowerpot.
A master puppeteer, brilliant at his craft but socially anxious and only intermittently lucid:
Chu Liuxiang found a boy named Yan Shiyu in an ancient village. The boy was aloof and wary of strangers, like a cautious little beast. Then Chu Liuxiang accidentally discovered that every living person in the village was a puppet.
A penniless, expressionless wanderer, with poverty always by his side:
At a wedding hosted by a wealthy family in a remote old town, Wu Qing met a wanderer who called himself Wuming. He was highly skilled in martial arts, with impressive internal energy, and seemed constantly plagued by strange bouts of poverty. That night, the dead bride knocked on his door.
There's a new face in the martial world every year, but this year's is especially outrageous. Yan Li gazed at the bamboo slips in the fortune-telling tube, covered in names, and drew one at random. Let's see which lucky person gets to have a strange adventure this time!
