Pili/Golden Light: Speak of Love, Not Romance

I wrote this to vent. Feel free to read without thinking too hard. After writing too much serious stuff, you have to write something brainless once in a while, or your CPU will overload.

The whole story is just about romance.

Basically, each character has their own episode. Some characters will get caught up in romantic entanglements. I'll write whatever comes to mind, and as always, all orientations are welcome.

Blurb:

Minmin knows she's a character in a book. Not only does she have an impressive background and a pretty face, but her martial arts and schemes are second to none. She thinks, "With a setup like mine, surely I'm the heroine of this illustrated story."

But after reading the whole thing, she realizes she's just the supporting female character paving the way for a pair of idiot love-struck leads.

She's exasperated. When she thinks of how the emperor she serves will go mad for the heroine, be crazy about the heroine, and bang his head against a wall for her, she feels like all her years of effort have gone to waste.

No way! If being a loyal minister in the story means raising a lovesick fool, then she'll be a treacherous minister instead! So in this life, she does every wicked thing imaginable and rises to the highest position in the government. Her days serving a puppet emperor are simply wonderful.

She sticks to the principle that love never ends well and lives a clear-headed, disciplined life to the very end. But when she dies, the lovesick protagonist curses her, wishing she would become the very kind of lovesick fool she despises. In every life after this, she'll have to spend it falling in love with someone.

She has to fight back! Better to be reborn in the animal realm than become a lovesick fool!
