Feng Qianxi is a vicious, doomed cannon-fodder character in a novel called The Tale of the Crown Princess. She was born to a beauty in the imperial harem whose family held little power. As a child, she was sent to Rongjiang as a hostage in place of the emperor's younger daughter, who was born to a favored lord.
In Rongjiang's imperial palace, she endured humiliation and struggled to survive in the cracks. During a bitter winter, the young girl lay in the snow, waiting to die. But when she opened her eyes again, a snow spirit had saved her. Seeing the red mole between the person's brows, she knew this was Murong Xianle, Rongjiang's only imperial prince.
After returning to Jingjiang, she secretly built up her own power. Her fearsome reputation and indifferent attitude toward state affairs were only a facade. Her sword was stained with blood, and her heart had long turned black, yet the moonlight of her life had always remained in her heart.
People say that the one you love from afar is hard to hold on to. But she meant to keep hers close, and once she did, she never let go for the rest of her life.
Bonus Scene:
Host: What do you think of Rongjiang's imperial prince?
Rongjiang's eight princesses: "He's such a handful."
Rongjiang's empress: "That troublesome child."
Dongli, the imperial prince's maid: "It's not easy just staying alive."
The young imperial prince looked aggrievedly at the people closest to him who had described him so harshly. Then he turned to Feng Qianxi, who held him tightly in her arms, his eyes full of hope. "My wife, what do you think?"
Feng Qianxi smiled. "At first I thought you were an untouchable celestial maiden. Turns out you're just a little troublemaker."
Murong Xianle's eyes reddened. He wilted like an eggplant hit by frost, looking utterly pitiful.
"But I like troublemakers like you. Be as much of a handful as you like. I rule all of Jiujiang, so I'll indulge you and take care of everything."
Feng Qianxi wiped the tears from the young imperial prince's eyes. "Sweetheart, why are you crying again?"

"Big Sister, it hurts. Please, save me..."
A filthy young boy, as if he'd rolled around in a ditch, suddenly collapsed at a woman's feet. She didn't slow her steps for even a moment, her back turned resolutely away.
The boy's already dull eyes grew even more lifeless. With a thud, his knees hit the ground hard enough to shatter bone. Yet even after all that, the woman didn't look back.
But the resolute woman was in turmoil inside:
'Ahhh! Why?! Why?! I was reborn, and I even went out of my way to avoid him. How did I still run into the future villain, that ungrateful wretch?!'
That's right, Shen Zongzong was reborn. But she would never forget the agony of being thrown into a snake pit before she died, where countless snakes devoured her. In the end, not even a single strand of her hair was left...
'I'll just pretend I can't hear him and have never met him. If I save that ungrateful wretch again, then Shen Zongzong is an absolute idiot!'
That night, as a torrential rain battered the town, Shen Zongzong sat in a ruined temple, her thoughts in turmoil:
'At this point, he's still blind, truly blind. He shattered his bones with that fall. He should still be lying in the rain, right?'
Shen Zongzong lit a lamp and looked out into the rain. The villain really was still lying there.
After being rescued, the unconscious boy lay across the woman's shoulder, a covetous smile playing on his lips:
'Big Sister really is the gentlest, softest-hearted person in the world.'
Shen Zongzong: Gentle? Soft-hearted? Ha. Not this time around.
'If he's going to torture me to death someday, I'll torture him to death first!'
