[My new novel, Living with My Archenemy, is updating now. Come check it out!]
Miss Yan had spent twenty-three years living large as the daughter of a wealthy family.
Then, overnight, her family went bankrupt, and her panicked parents sent her to a remote backwater to lie low.
She arrived at a small mountain village with tears in her eyes.
The moment she stepped off the three-wheeled taxi, she twisted her ankle in the high heels that had once made every woman envious.
With mountains stretching in every direction, Miss Yan instantly imagined a whole melodrama about a beautiful college girl being sold into a rural marriage. Her nose stung and she was about to burst into tears when someone picked up the suitcase on the ground.
The woman hired to look after her was tall and slender. Even in the plainest shirt and jeans, she couldn't hide her striking looks and graceful air.
Miss Yan stared, dumbfounded. The next moment, the beauty's red lips parted, her expression scornful. "You're the sucker who got swindled? The people who tricked you have already run off. You can leave."
Miss Yan: ???
The life she'd imagined: People would wait on her hand and foot, praising and flattering her. She'd only have to lounge lazily in a chair in the courtyard and sunbathe until her parents came to take her home.
The life she actually got: She'd fallen for a scam involving the same house being sold to multiple buyers, leaving her with neither money nor a place to stay. The beautiful landlady who'd agreed to put her up for a few days was gorgeous but cold-hearted, and often spoke to her harshly.
Her life was unbearably difficult:
Her elegant high heels sank into the muddy village roads with every step.
Her pretty little dresses snagged on the wild branches after only a few steps outdoors.
Her expensive new phone used up all its data in an instant.
And Miss Yan, the illustrious daughter of the Yan family, was living under someone else's roof. She kept trying to preserve her dignity by throwing money around, and was flat broke in less than three days.
With her current prospects leaving her on the brink of starvation, Miss Yan had no choice but to swallow her pride, use her charms to seduce the landlady, and beg for affection and food. Waaaah. X﹏X

After making a name for herself with a hit book, Ming Cen planned to end her life in a remote mountain village when she turned twenty-three.
Everything had gone fairly smoothly, until the young heiress she'd once had a secret crush on appeared out of nowhere and shattered her peace.
Remembering how she'd gathered her courage to confess her feelings in the past, only to be cruelly humiliated, Ming Cen decided to put her plan on hold. She needed to get revenge and finally let off some steam before she could call things complete.
But things didn't go according to plan at all.
The heiress brought nothing but high heels, which sank into the ground wherever she went. She refused to walk barefoot, so Ming Cen had to carry her home every time.
The heiress wore nothing but dresses. The moment she stepped outside, their long hems snagged on things, and her smooth, pale skin was left half-exposed. Before long, she had no decent clothes left and kept stealing Ming Cen's outfits to wear.
The heiress used up all her phone data. If Ming Cen shared her Wi-Fi, the heiress would use up all of Ming Cen's data in a day; if she didn't, the heiress would cling to her and wheedle shamelessly.
Before long, Ming Cen was being held, kissed, and slept with, and had lost her heart, too. Then she spotted a post from the heiress online: "Waaaah, I made the sacrifice and put up with so much, but now my landlady is getting more and more clingy. What do I do?"
Ming Cen: ???
Put up with so much?
If Ming Cen kissed her one fewer time in a day, she'd throw a tantrum. If Ming Cen lay down beside her a minute late, she'd say their feelings had faded. That was putting up with so much?
Getting more and more clingy?
Who was the one following her around like a little cat, clinging to her every single day?

Blurb for Living with My Archenemy:
Jiang Miao is a pampered princess, spoiled and domineering.
Liang Zhi is a charming social butterfly, flirtatious yet considerate in every way.
But the moment they meet, they clash. Neither can stand the other.
Jiang Miao has spent more than ten years bickering and squabbling with her. Even her childhood friend moved abroad and gradually lost touch, but Liang Zhi is still haunting her world.
After getting burned by Liang Zhi once again, Jiang Miao fumes. She decides she can't let her get away with it.
She'll latch onto her, pester her, and tear off that hypocritical mask!
She'll make Liang Zhi fall at her feet, become so infatuated she loses her senses, and love her so desperately that she'll slam into a wall for her and turn against the whole world for her.
The more she thinks about it, the more fired up she gets. So she grabs her suitcase, marches over to her archenemy's house, and knocks without a second thought. With absolutely no justification but plenty of confidence, she declares, "Starting today, I'm moving in with you!"
Liang Zhi gives her a meaningful look. "Sure."
Jiang Miao makes herself at home, causing a ruckus and doing whatever she likes every day. She keeps taking the initiative to flirt, never imagining she'd end up losing the game. One thing leads to another, and she flirts Liang Zhi right into bed.
The social butterfly becomes a furnace devoted solely to her, burning with passion.
From then on, Liang Zhi's gaze grows stranger and stranger. They kiss more often than they drink water, and they've lost count of how many times they've made love...
As their relationship grows harder to control, Liang Zhi even wants to take her to meet her family. Jiang Miao finally panics.
While Liang Zhi is away on a business trip, she quickly sends a breakup text and makes a run for it.
But before she can even get home, Liang Zhi catches up with her.
The good news: She's finally exposed Liang Zhi's hypocritical mask!
The bad news: Liang Zhi is actually a lunatic!
After being cornered and interrogated who knows how many times, Jiang Miao finally can't take it anymore. With tears in her eyes, she says, "I'm not breaking up with you. I'll never break up with you, not in this lifetime..."
Completed: Married First, Loved Later with the Ice Queen
Her parents called in a favor, and the Tan family took her in.
Zhou Jianghao had known since childhood that the Tan family didn't welcome her, so she did her best to make herself as inconspicuous as possible.
But after she got on the wrong side of one of the younger members of the Tan family, no matter how much she backed down, they kept picking on her.
One day, the Tan family locked her in a storage room. Years of resentment finally boiled over. After making a huge fuss, she finally got the door open, charged out like a furious little lion, and sank her teeth into the other person's arm.
A slender finger suddenly pressed against her forehead, pushing her backward. She met a pair of eyes as deep as an abyss, and heard a woman's amused voice: "What a fierce little puppy. Where did you come from?"
That day, she was led by the hand by the Tan family's young aunt, who had just returned from abroad. With a few casual words, the woman made the Tan family members who'd bullied her submit to family discipline.
The Tan family assumed it was just bad luck that they'd happened to incur Tan Qingya's wrath that day, and blamed Zhou Jianghao for all their old and new grievances.
They never imagined that the usually docile Zhou Jianghao would dare to fight back.
The Tan family laughed in fury. "What do you think you are? Your aunt only took pity on you and tossed you a steamed bun. You mangy little dog actually think you've found an owner, and now you dare throw your weight around?"
As soon as the words left their mouths, a beautiful woman in a bathrobe stepped out of Zhou Jianghao's room and boldly wrapped an arm around her slender waist.
Everyone looked on nervously, then greeted her with deference and respect: "Auntie."
Tan Qingya arched an eyebrow and pushed Zhou Jianghao in her arms toward the others, smiling faintly. "You don't recognize your aunt-in-law?"
Reading Guide:
1. Both leads are each other's first and only, one-on-one.
2. Five-year age gap.
Theme: After the storm comes the sunshine.
The pre-collected articles "Marry the Flower of the High Mountains First and Fall in Love Later", "Get Her in Hand" and "My Poor Little One is Super Fierce" come and add it to your favorites!
The final article "The Villain Loves Me Deeply" is welcome~
The writing in the village was okay, and the characters felt quite three-dimensional. I don't know why, but when I got to the city, the whole writing style started to decline... What could have been written in one chapter dragged on for a few chapters. To be honest, it was a bit watery, and I felt that Ming's character was not as lively as before. In the beginning, I felt that some details showed that Ming's tsundere was a bit cute, but I couldn't feel it at all in the back... Starting with the new map, the quality of the whole article really plummeted, and it felt a bit like a running account... Sigh... I can only give it three out of five, and the writing in the back is really bad.
This time has moved too fast! Damn, I want to read a full-length version of Qingmei! (Ordering)
It looks good. Jinjiang doesn't let me give it a five-star rating, so I won't give it a five-star rating. Manual five-star rating.
So sweet, so sweet! Let's write more novels about secret love, childhood sweethearts, and reunions! Love watching~
It'll be better if it's longer, woo woo woo
It's so beautiful, five stars, well written in big letters.
Thanks for the limited fee [kiss] for the nice little sweet article [kiss]
So warm! Oh my god! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I would like to ask the author when the next book is expected to be updated?
Completed. The early stage was quite interesting, but the middle and late stages were a bit mediocre.
