At the Grassland’s Peak, Beneath a River of Stars

The first time, her birth parents abandoned her. Still in her swaddling clothes, she crossed mountains and rivers to Inner Mongolia, where a Han Chinese couple adopted her. The second time, she and her adoptive parents were caught in a sandstorm on the grasslands. They both died protecting her, and she was rescued by a young Mongolian man who rode in on a white horse. From then on, she entered an unfamiliar world, the original nomadic world of the Mongolian people. At fourteen, the Mongolian boy Amur was searching for his lost horses on the grasslands when he happened upon a Han Chinese girl under attack by vultures. He took her home, and from then on, he had a little sister. He had hurt his throat as a child and couldn't speak freely. After witnessing her parents' deaths, she had become mute from the shock. He had drawn back his cold embrace to rescue her from terror and despair. She had quietly stayed by his side when his aav died and he was left to lick his wounds alone. He had fought wolves and risked his life against other people for her. She had plunged without hesitation into a perilous snowstorm for him... Through countless days and nights, they stayed by each other's side. Something changed silently between them, and their desires grew like wild grass: Restraint and struggle, Love and longing, Self-abandonment and pursuit... A gentle, patient young man and a brave, resolute young woman... They were destined to be together. A few scenes: 1. He looked at her, her dark hair and lovely face adorned in gorgeous finery. His heart twisted with pain as he asked, "Are you getting married?" "Yes." "Who are you marrying?" She tilted her head and smiled brightly. Her beautiful eyes sparkled. "You!" 2. He jolted awake from a dream and realized, horrified, what he felt. Cold sweat ran down his face. He got up, rushed out the door, swung onto his horse, and galloped across the grasslands. 3. "Amur," his eej said sadly, "Anyone but her. She is the one person you can't be with." 4. With tears in her eyes, she managed to say, "Brother, I like you. Can we be together?" His mind exploded with a bang, as if countless fireworks had burst into bloom. A sweet romance! A sweet romance! A sweet romance! Important things are said three times. Theme: Love comes from the grasslands and will one day return to them.
