His Little Daisy

Li Mengxia had secretly loved Liang Wenxuan for a very, very long time. Her unrequited love was painful, humble, and impossible to speak of, both agonizing and sweet.

Liang Wenxuan was a heaven-blessed prodigy, covered in glory, while she was nothing but a timid coward, weak and insecure.

They say that people who have never been loved panic when they encounter love, because they doubt both themselves and the other person.

So when Liang Wenxuan approached her with his sincere heart, Li Mengxia ran away in fear.

The day Liang Wenxuan confessed to her, Li Mengxia cried until she broke down. It wasn't because her secret love had finally come true and she had gotten what she wished for, but because she was terrified and bitter.

"How could he possibly like me?"

"He just pities me."

"He must like me because he doesn't know me. If he really knew me, he wouldn't like me..."

Years later, Liang Wenxuan returned to the country, and his friends held a dinner in Nancheng to celebrate his new job.

A friend asked, "Your aunt set you up on several blind dates. Why didn't you go to a single one?"

"It's been ten years. You still haven't forgotten her?"

Liang Wenxuan stubbed out his cigarette. "I forgot her a long time ago. I just want closure."

His friend took out a phone and showed him a photo. In it, a woman with long, wavy hair and bold red lipstick was smiling at the man beside her, who was carrying her luggage.

"Look, she's got a boyfriend."

Liang Wenxuan stared at the photo for a long time, then said, "I want to see her."

"Tsk, you're hopeless."
